Connecticut Patent of the Day: Pitch a Tent

Unusually warm weather lately has gotten me in the camping mood a bit early. Thoughts turn to loading up the van and heading out with the family on a camping trip. I bought a monster size tent a couple of years ago that will hold all five of us.  Of course it never seems as big as you think once you get all your junk inside of it…..

Here’s a Connecticut patented tent from the early 1900’s patented by Edgar Ebeneezer Mann (great name!) from Waterbury. Looks more like a circus or carnival tent to me. Love the American flag on top too!
