Best Inventions of 2009

Time magazine has come out with their list of The 50 Best Inventions of 2009 . As always the list makes one think about how far we’ve come and where we are going. My favorites on the list include: Number 18, The $20 Knee, because of the hope it gives to those who need to wear prosthetics but can’t afford them, especially in lesser developed countries. Number 31, The Living Wall just seems like it can make some really ugly, architecturally awful buildings somewhat more attractive.

Number 34, The Human-Powered Vending Machine appeals to my belief that the more you run, ride or walk the better your food tastes. Number 41, The High-Speed Helicopter is cool because of its Connecticut/Sikorsky connection and just because its fast and it flies.

But best of all I think  is Number 49 The Newest Cloud. Jaw droppingly beautiful. Looks almost like a Van Gogh painting come to life. No matter what man creates nothing can equal what mother nature comes up with.

Happy Inventive New Year!!!
